The category of knowledge management is one of these solutions. This research first examines the concepts and capabilities of knowledge management, then the enablers of knowledge management, which include organizational culture, information technology, organizational structure, and human resources, are examined. In the following, the steps of the organizational knowledge management process are presented and the way of influencing this process on the organizational performance is investigated. The obtained results indicate that organizations should carry out a knowledge needs assessment with the participation of managers, experts and elites of different fields, and based on them, determine the knowledge goals of the organization and formulate appropriate strategies to achieve the goals and also improve the organizational performance. At the end, suggestions are made for improving performance and achieving goals for organizations.
