Abstract

Publishing contracts include a wide range of contracts, each of which defines the relation between the varity of factors and issues involved in the publication of works. The publisher's contract with electronic content providers or intermediaries is often related to other publishing contracts. In this article, we will mention some issues and challenges of contracts regarding the electronic publication of monographs, such as books. A large part of these issues and challenges can be considered pre-publishing; such as those related to the content producing and conntent producers (authors, editors, etc.). Another challenges are related to the post-publishing, that may typically be related to publishers, content producers, and consumers; Most of the conscious and unconscious problems of these challenges may be transferred to the others parts. In this article, an attempt is made to point out those issues and challenges that should usually be foreseen in all kinds of publishing contracts, emphasizing the contract with all kinds of electronic intermediaries.
