Investigating the Factors Affecting the Use of Applied Agricultural Academic Courses by Information Technology

Abstract

Purpose: The main purpose of this research is to investigate the factors affecting the use of applied science and technology courses by instructors from information and communication technologies in the teaching and learning process and providing solutions for its improvement.
Methodology: This research is descriptive. The data collection tool was a questionnaire. The statistical population of the study includes 177 educators in Fars, Isfahan, West Azarbaijan, Hamedan and Mazandaran educational centers. 80 subjects were selected through stratified random sampling.
Results: The results of the research showed that applied academic teachers had a positive attitude toward teaching information technology and communication technology. Most educators had completed online courses. Access to computers and the Internet has been modest among educators throughout the week. Also, educators said they used Google search engines and Yahoo search engines to search the content.
Discussion and Conclusion: Strengthening the facilities needed by instructors to exploit and optimize the use of information technology in teaching can be very useful in developing this teaching method. It is also very effective to provide continuous training for updating the knowledge and information of trainers about modern information and communication technologies.
