Artificial intelligence has become a powerful tool in agriculture for improving productivity and resource management. By analyzing satellite, climatic, and environmental data, this technology enables the identification of cultivated areas and the estimation of actual crop evapotranspiration. In paddy fields, accurate determination of cultivated area and estimation of actual evapotranspiration play a key role in optimal water resource management, irrigation planning, and crop yield prediction. In this study, the application of artificial intelligence algorithms, particularly Random Forest, integrated with satellite imagery, was examined for monitoring paddy fields in Gilan Province. The results showed that the use of this technology can support the production of accurate paddy field maps, the updating of evapotranspiration information, improved managerial decision‑making, and enhanced production sustainability. However, the accuracy of the results depends on the quality of input data, appropriate model selection, and field validation.
