Food security along with sustainable agriculture development is one of the most important challenges of the present century. Food security, despite resource constraints, climate change and environmental problems, requires changing methods and approaches for producing agricultural products. Increasing productivity in the production of agricultural products requires the application of new methods and technologies. One of these technologies is intelligence in agriculture. Smart Agriculture is a good way to solve agricultural challenges and provide food security. Intelligent (Smart) agriculture provides the opportunity to farmers and operators to increase their productivity and manage better their production resources. Considering the importance of using intelligent technologies in the field of agriculture, this paper attempts to introduce this technology and present some of its application in agriculture. So, the beds for development of this technology are introduced. Also, in this article, the requirements for the proper development of this technology in the agricultural sector with regard to the current situation have been addressed.
